Carol Green – aka Dara England – is a writer of fantasy, paranormal, and historical fiction.  She currently lives in Oklahoma with her husband, two children, and a beloved Yorkshire terrier. An animal lover, she once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian.  Other early aspirations were ballet dancing, art, and architecture.  But she always knew whatever dreams she pursued writing would be an important part of her life.  She loves Shakespeare, collects all things medieval or renaissance, and enjoys reading history books.  She attends her local renaissance fair in costume every year and plans to go to the fair’s masked ball someday.

Phantom of the Opera is her favorite musical and her favorite hero is Mr. Knightly from Jane Austin’s Emma.  She listens to all kinds of music, including Enya.  If she could afford an extra hobby she would like to collect antique clocks from the Victorian era.

Writing -- Carol's work has recently been included in the anthology The Mammoth Book of Irish Romance, available in bookstores everywhere. Her paranormal novel Brought to Life was released by Lyrical Press in 2008 and another paranormal release This Side Of Dawn will be coming soon from Lyrical Press.

FAQ & Carol’s Responses:

Do you write only e-books?
No. E-books are a convenient market for my work because they allow for lengths and unusual subject matter that might not otherwise find a home. I write for print as well but continue to go the e-route with my shorter fiction.

Would it be possible to get your e-book ‘Brought to Life’ in print?
Only if you print it out on your own computer.  The length of ‘Brought to Life’ is decidedly shorter than the average print book and so it will remain in e-format only.

How can I get free copies of your books?
Follow me on Twitter or ‘like’ my Facebook fan page (see links below).  I do frequent giveaways of books and more.

I’ve always wanted to write. How do I get started?
Two words: write and research. There are a number of books and websites out there to help aspiring writers learn about the craft and the business. Just persevere.

I love your website. Who designed it?
Thanks!  Rae Monet did my site. Learn more about Rae Monet Inc on my Links page.
